the othr day, i was watching a b grade gult flick...the same old melodrama in a set...the same latak jhatak of the heroine...the only modernisation being that the entire story is set in a neo-software scenario...on the whole..the movie was quite entertaining...but there were a few points that made me to go on a thinking spree...
the entire movie was shot from a male chauvinistic pig's point of view (i am definitely not apologising to the male readers...if u find the lines i wrote corny...plz b nice enuf to navigate away from the page!!!)....the whole plot had the girl doing all sorts of mistakes n putting up an egoistic, headstrong behaviour...
there r several other movies of this genre...where the female protagonist is at the mistake end..take for example the dubbed movie "manmadha" whr a psycho maniacal fellow who, by the worst possible chance, is the "hero" goes on killing all those girls who "trick" men...
the problem with these kinds of movies, literature n other advertising media is that they portray the women as vamps giving them a pretty "bitchy" outlook... n worse..the whole social idea has shifted from the "man-is-bad-women-suffers" to "modern-womann-can-safely-be-called-bitch"..(plz forgive the profainity...dint mean to..)
i may sound n seem like a staunch feminist...but the point i am trying to make here is that its not just the girl's fault all the time...neither is it the guys fault...for starts...we can agree that it takes both the male n female to strike differences..so why is it that now a days women are being shown as pandora's sisters?????
in fact..its just a few decades since the women have emerged from the grimy kitchens to take on the "man's" jobs...we neednt have such gestures..driving us back..n its not that we have become tricky n cunning n beastly to torture the man into insanity..
for heavens sake..we still are living in a world where women led shrouded lives in the taliban regime...and where innocent kiranjit ahluwahlias have to go through ten years of domestic violence before fighting back...
it aint a blasphemy to consider the feminity to b equal to men..it aint wrong if the women come out to live their lives...no point degrading...with such gestures...
n there definitely is no harm in considering that women...along with men...are from mars!!

Our milieu has been as such that man is the provider and woman is the reproducer.. There is this problem with most gult movies...they are illogical and lame at script..
Some movie makers do it intentionally to draw more junta and make big bucks out of it...
While some are totally immature in writing a script...
Well I feel profane depiction of women in gult is still unquestioned due to lack of good critics and female film makers in the gult film industry...

half the time women come in less terms coz o the mahila sangh's and other crap stuff done by useless and jobless females(forgive me if you kno ne1 in such sangh)..
And that blank noise project was interesting though it didnt do any good and yet it has got lot o publicity... just a few girls post the pics and do stuff where as the rest jus enjoy the show..
And the movies done for the good of feminism lack morality and point.. take the gult films for instance..

the reason i wrote the entire things coz we neva had those good old "feminist" days...women were always perceived n treated beneath a man's shoe...the change in the situation is tht the persecution is still thr..albeit wid a new tag tht the so called higher hand of feminity is a threat to male existence...
ps: tht "anyone" against sl*ts n bit*ches might nt for all practical purposes b right in their outlook. thts just the point i am trying to drive in...give women a lil chance... :)
There is one truth that we should not have qualms about...men are the stronger sex...and in most cases, it is the men who make the laws and sketch the limits of the society or whatever you may call it...it is sad that in most cultures of the world women cannot live a free life at times...because there are worries....because she is not powerful enough to dominate (may be through words, yes..but most people wont see that, unfortunately)...she just 'has' to depend...
It is sad that an average Indian woman gets to face all most hardships that one can think of...and yes as fellow bloggers previously quoted..things are beginning to change...but also...they wont change as much as a woman would have liked...except in fiction films...
Why is it that a man never gets raped?..or does he??...if he does may be it is not a rape..it must be something different...because, for him....things would not change very much afterwards...consolations would not be necessary...
I will say one thing...a country like India will keep women on Venus.. (the respect is a give or take issue..she may get it ot she may not)....but you are true...in fact only women must be from Mars...
