in your shoes, my lord... !

for sometime now, disappointment was presumed not to exist : the cynical conviction that each putting in their (maximum or best..???!!!) efforts was assumed to be affection sans affectation (pun intended..in case u dint get it). however, a personal confrontation brought out the hardships involved to keep it going.

every relationship having two individuals always one of them stronger and one weaker. and the weaker is the one who is all the more vulnerable to pain, negligence, suffering and nonchalance. the result would mean that the weaker individual would assume the role of a martyr (albeit subconsciously). this would lead to a lot of skirmishes and bawling.

it is highly important for each individual in a relationship to stand in the other person's shoes and understand the world from their point of view...their dreams, their ideas, their duties and their frustrations...in short, their constraints. if this maneuver is not implemented to the word, the following debacle can be imputed to the highly blown up ego of the weaker one. and that would mean parrying all attempts of patching up initially and fighting demons of past in the long run, looking forward to a lachrymose existence.

the pain in their ankles, apart from feeling dum...
may be then both of them would appreciate the pain with pointed heels and the vulnerability of the football spikes...

Both would feel "it sucks" and get rid of it before others label transvestic fetishism

Thresholds for pain, happiness, frustrations vary a lot and are highly individualised.. For a successful relationship the needs of either of the parties have to be met.. which could mean compromise/sacrifice.. but then again.. when there is love and affection, you know it is worth much more than that

An ideal relationship is one where both persons depend on each other equally...especially in love. Strong close relationships make even the strongest person weak, especially when they depend a lot on the relationship with the other person. The weaker person requires a lot of reassurance, time and involvement of the other person. If the other one considers the relationship of equal importance, then it is good, otherwise their relationship will be strained in the long run. You talked of the weaker person's ego...the point is that the weaker person's ego is so strongly tied up with this relationship...why bcos that person has given a big part of himself or herself to the relationship...its like a surrender of ur ego and when u surrender u depend upon the other to take care of u.

I like ur posts a lot....you say what you really have felt and it makes the reader think...this one was short but clearly expressive and thought provoking.
